Radical changes have been scheduled for the area surrounding The Hague Central Station. During the next few years, the station itself will be rebuilt to form a modern international public transport terminal. The existing Babylon complex will be renovated, buildings will be constructed on Koningin Julianaplein, and Anna van Buerenplein will be transformed into a busy city square. Two new platforms, known as The Hague Erasmus Line Terminal (Haags Startstation Erasmuslijn, HSE) will be built for the Erasmus Line from Rotterdam to The Hague, and developments in the zone will be concluded with an overhang for the bus platform.
